Hi all
I have a range rover l322 2005 (not the face lift). The car looks slanted from passenger side for some reason not sure why and you can also here the suspension hissing even when you lock the car? Anyone no why?
Right for the serious problem
The car drops down to access mode and goes back to normal height but still looks slanted from the passenger side. When you press the air suspension to go up (highest mode) it goes up but then drops back to normal with the light flashing constantly? I've been advised to replace the front shocks and a air compressor. But they are damn expensive and it might not even be that ://

Can anyone help please?
Not sure what to do

Thanks

So does that mean I have to replace both air springs or just the passenger side because it is slanted from that side?

Thanks for the help pal

Do you think I would need a air compressor too or just the front passenger air spring? They are around £250? Correct me if I'm wrong.
Lol I don't know too much about air suspension etc bit new with all of this

It still goes up so there is air pressure, if you fix the leak quickly the compressor should be OK.

That's fine thanks mate. Also the suspension sometimes raises up automatically is it meant to do that or is that a problem with the air suspension?

Thanks

Lool can't really remember that must have been ages ago :D
Polite for polite ey. If you give stick u gotta expect It back lol

Anywhoo lol what do you mean did I under pigeon

I have modified the car  lool not the way I was intending to though. Not many of the forumers would like it but everyone to their own.
That your gold range rover?

Eww, underpigeon? I feel sick.

Why does the cost of new airbags matter? They are only £250 a punt, that is chump change.

Lol haha "under pigeon"
Do you have to replace the whole air spring or can you repair it?
Is it a easy job fitting it?

You can't replace them, the rubber ages through age, once goes, you can bet your bottom dollar they'll all go. Like all springs do them in pairs (both front, both rears or all four). If you leave an air leak too long you'll burn out the compressor, so you can't delay a fix without racking up bigger bills.

The mechanical part is easy, but you'll need software to clear any faults and recalibrate the air suspension.

So cause the car is slanted to the left on the passenger side, it will be the passenger side air spring that needs replacing? But the air compressor doesn't because it is still going to medium height and access mode. Yeah most likely others will go to cause of the wear. Do you know how long it takes to replace? And is it better to get a brand new one or second hand? Any difference mate?
Also when driving sometimes you hear a knocking sound when going over bumps from passenger side dash? Anything to do with that? Cause I've got ball joint replaced but still making the sound
Thanks for the help

Don't waste your time buying second hand, they will be old and leggy so you'll need to replace them sooner than buying new. New are good for 7 to 8 years.
I've not done the job on a L322, but I'd say no more than 1 to 2 hours a corner.

The side that doesn't stay inflated has the air leak.

Because the compressor can still inflate from bumps means it is still healthy so yes, that can stay in place.

It could be the airbag issue causing the knocking as the suspension will be resting on the chassis, you'd need to fix that before trying to address other issues.

I'm about to give you the best piece of advice you will ever get about your L322: Stop trying to cut corners, it will only cost you more in the long run.

When items that should be replaced in pairs, need replacing, then replace the pair. As has been said by myself and others on here, this is a 70k car when new, it will take money to keep it running to the standard expected. If you are prepared to treat it properly it will (like the old ones before it) look after you for years. If you happily spend your money on underpigeon mods and then balk at paying for the parts it actually needs then it was possibly not the veh you should have bought.

No idea. I have used different suppliers each time I have bought something for this or for the Disco. A search will bring up loads of suppliers and then it's a case of seeing who is the cheapest, with good service.
