Thanks

Check your battery and if it's not that, diagnostics is next.
I'm sure those two steps were made a sticky
Been thinking about it sometimes when you turn ignition on the suspension switches dont light up but if you turn ignition switch off and back on they light up could it be the ignition switch as i have heard they can be problematic

Hi Adam, Just looking back at posts and saw this. Did you get it resolved yet? I too have just got an issue with my suspension going into Normal Ride Height with the switch becoming inoperative. When I stop the car I turn the ignition off then turn the suspension switch to lower to access height and the car drops. On start up I have to switch to normal height before the system goes faulty. I don't have a diagnostic unit so can't put any light on fault codes but that is my next move. I think your issue may be more likely to do with the suspension system rather than ignition switch. Please keep the post moving with anything you get or ultimate solution. I'll do the same, cheers.
Tricky.

Best start a new thread, Tricky. Otherwise some of us get confused.

Don't know about the L322 but imagine same principle as P38. I have a suspicion the valve blocks might be behind the bumpers so they can pick up as much crap as possible? Might be worth checking connectors there if I am right.

If it won't go up I'd be thinking compressor output. Come to think of it, isn't the L322 compressor in the boot? All dry in there?

Fullfatrr.com might be better for the L322?

Got to say 3 or 4 years ago , that might have been right , but the L322 is very well known on here now. @biketeacherdave , @holidaychicken , @Henry_b and the L322 god who is @Saint.V8 , plus others have now been working on the L322, for almost a decade in some cases, from tyres to sunroof. There is very little that has not been taken apart and looked at, by those who understand these things. Or, as in my case, taken to a garage, had issue and remedy explained and paid for the work to be done, then all posted on here to help others.
The only thing that may throw off answers, or make it a little longer to find answers, is the L322's habit of throwing different symptoms for the same fault. Eventually, though it is usually chased down.
Oh and questions over on fullfat are often answered by people who are also members here ;)

I know we all bang on about it , but you really need diagnostics on her. Anything else is guess work. That is one thing that is almost guaranteed on the L322 ( and probably the L405 too) , without correct diagnostics, you can spend a lot of time and money guessing at a fault.
From my above post , the guys who have done a lot of work on the L322 should now start popping in, hopefully you will get some help. However, it will help them help you, if you have a code/s.

P.s what speed are you doing when the switch becomes 'inoperative?

If it's throwing a code then that is where you need to start , diagnostics are the name of the game.

I have a theory however.

There are two possible causes I can think of
First would be the 'lower' portion of the switch has failed, if this is the case driving it to above 35mph for a minute will make it lower itself. The even more common issue with it would be that the exhaust muffler on the compressor has clogged This can be removed to lower it temporarily (it'll be quite loud) and then replace the muffler and the dryer as soon as you can. The muffler is a brass cone that sits on the front of the compressor. Remove the spare wheel and clam shell cover, then remove the muffler. When it clogs, it is a sign that the dryer is separating.

Hi. Thanks for your help it doesnt drop the suspension after 35mph its just chimes and says air suspension fault. Does the compressor have to run to lower the suspension?

Maybe, like the P38, it will not operate if there is a fault present. As has been said, the only way forward is diagnostics.

Has anyone mentioned diagnostics ...
