Air lock in cooling system

I have a 2000 TD5 disco and would like to know the correct way of filling the cooling system so don't have air locks in the system.

beside the official procedure it's a good practice to partially fit the bleed screw after the coolant came out, start the engine and keep it revv'd above 1500 untill no bubbles are coming out there then tighten the screw(this way the bypass flow valve in the stat will open as well)...and tighten well the tank cap too
 
I've just finished replacing the Blue bagged coolant hose with a genuine one and for the first time in a while have no coolant leaks.
True what they say, buy cheap buy twice.
