Hello Peeps,

While i wait for my Haynes manual to be delivered can any body help me with a air con prob....

Firstly i think it needs re-gassing so just need to find someone to do it, but even though it needs re-gassing i believe the front 2 cooling fans should work when its turned on? i hear the difference in revs when the button is pressed which i believe is the pump?
Secondly does anybody have a wiring diagram to the fuses and relays on the bulk head as it looks like someone has had a bit of a chop around...

its a 1997 300tdi.

Thanks
Crofty

If your ac needs a recharge, what caused the leak in the first place.

That would be the electric clutch engaging the ac compressor

If the compressor is cutting in then there is gas in the system, otherwise the trimary switch would stop it. It sounds like all you need is a top up. Just get a can and follow the instructions.

Systems do leak slowly, but have to be within EU guidelines.

Well got a top up and air con now works, Needed for this part of the world :)

Problem i now have is when using the air con i get a leak on the right hand side of the blower unit, does anybody now why this is happening?

my thoughts were maybe something to do with condensation over flow ???????

Cheers Crofty
