this maybe a stupid question but when the light on the air con off button is light up does that mean the air con is on or off????

Depends if you read the handbook,pressing the AC off button which turns on the orange light,will mean the HEVAC ecu will not request AC clutch engagement from the engine ecu - hence the AC is off.

That explains my ****e mpg:doh:.........now then why does the book and ! come now i've switched the a/c off????
