Just realised my aircon isnt kicking in,when i press the aircon switch the switch iluminates so i thought it just needed a recharge as not cold,however when i tried my m8s aircon today i noticed that when i pressed his aircon switch you could here the aircon click and the revs fluttered as my astra does.My landy does not do anything other than switch lights up,any ideas where to look??????cheers

Prepare your valoche to spend a fortnight in Mrs. M's dungeon :alien: (unless you're excused as being a newbie ?????? ) (What I sincerely hope for you as those who came back from there are marked for the rest of their life, and not in the positive way I'm afraid, they look as coming back from a deathcamp).

The air con light on the switch will come on regardless when pressed.

The system contains a pressure switch which will not allow the system to operate if there is insufficient pressure - ie no or low gas.

It may be the system has just lost its pressure as they do but also possible is a leak in the system. Find a local air con engineer or similar who won't rip you off to investigate. I go my TD4 system vaccummed down, gas, oil and leak detector dye injected for £35.

Its working A1 now - the leak detector stains where it drips yellow should i get a leak in the future!

Oh and you should run the aircon at least once per week for 15 min or so to ensure all the internal seals are lubricated.
