anyway back to original topic
I have been advised that td5's have a similar problem and others to go with themis this true? I know all you Landy owners will say no but I would like a true opinion, we also have a freelander and up till now that has only had what I would call minor running faults

As I said in my first reply. The majority of the faults (including cracked heads) are on pre 2003 models. 2003 on still have small niggles like oil in the injector harness but at £35 to replace you aint gonna complain too much.;)

as long as you understand if it works it will mask the problem and it needs to go or new head

oil in the injector harness is something that everybody who has these vehicles is gonna have to live with as noone is going to stop oil 'wicking' down a multistrand wire especially when the wire terminates inside an engine, I don't care how good "supaseal" say their plugs are

I don't know how you could say such a thing.;)

It's not meant to happen on the later models but as you say. It does.

having not looked at plugs if the issue is pin to plug oil seeping-potting compound maybe?
