Sods law being what it is, now the snow has arrived my 2000 4.6 P38 is refusing to start. Engine turns but won't fire. According to the AA man who had a look there is no fuel or spark making its way to the engine.

Any hints/tips on what it might be?

If I'm unlucky and its the Engine ECU, am I right in thinking on a 2000 RR it won't be a GEMS unit? I saw some articles that suggested GEMS ended in 1999. If so what was it replaced with?

Many thanks,
Toby

I assume its a specialist job to resync them?

If so any recommendations for a reasonably priced specialist in the Guildford/Godalming/Surrey area?

Thanks,
Toby

yes they work a treat, i have one and have used it a few times. its a good tool to have. easy to use on only takes a min to sort your car out..

No battery was fine before hand. Drove it the previous day without problems, but then failed the following morning when I went to start.

Will buy a sync-mate as it sounds like it will probably resolve the problem.

Many thanks,
Toby
