Hi everyone

I'm a Land Rover virgin, and after years of waiting I'm hoping to buy a 2003 Discovery TD5.

Any advice on what I need to look out for, glitches, faults, etc.

Greatly appreciated as I can't afford to buy a dog!!!

Many thanks

Hi
I was also a landrover virgin until about two months ago when we bought a 2002 TD5 as a family car, fortunately we found one with just 37k miles on it but we have still had a few problems with it despite the low mileage.
The air con drains were blocked up causing the drivers side floor to flood, this was not found till after i had a screen fitted thinking that the problem must be there.
Also this week the air suspension has begun to fail me, it drops down as soon as engine is switched off so is going back to dealers on monday to be sorted under warranty.
The strange thing is that if it was any other car i would have the major ache with it by now cos in my opinion a 2002 car with those miles should not be having problems with suspension, but there is something about it that just makes me love the car despite the fact that it needs fixing .....again!
I am sure you will enjoy a disco as they are very good fun especially when you find a nice muddy track to drive along!!
