Hey Dan, any chance of some post backs on these threads as to the outcomes?

the only reason i ask is i have seen you post a few times that you want to look into it, but i never see any further info, it doesnt look good for you guys, it is as if you are not able to resolve the issues.

I have no ulterior motive as i dont use uk insurance companies for obvious reasons, just sticking my 2 zloties worth in:)

odds on a follow up to that ^

Hiya,

We obviously try and resolve as many issues as possible and that as long as the member is happy for us to report the outcome we have no issues in posting this on forum.

Thanks
Dan

as said ive been with adrian flux since i was 18 so that will; be 10yrs this yr !!! my clio insurance has gone up from £735 to £1049 with increased no claims and the disco has gone up from £550 to £649, i have enquired with brent acre and the clio insurance is £649.99 with all my mods declared and the disco is a shade over £400.......best thing is i have a work colleague has the same discovery ok 1 yr older big woop has just gone with flux as a new customer and hey presto its £200 pounds cheaper than mine ( he lives 1 street away )...so much for loyalty bonus.. :(

I've got my Disco with Sureterm and I dont consider them cheap

Looking at almost 400 quid a year and I'm 64 with a clean driving license, no mods on Disco just a straight 1998 300tdi.

I had the insurance on my 90 which is laid up but that was 300 quid so I'll be looking elsewhere come October.

I would be happy with 150 to 250 for the year which is more than I paid for the old V8 110 that I had.

They just seem to pull a figure from the air and then double it:mad:

Oh and btw Adrian Flux quoted me 900 quid last year for the 90.

poor old dan my biggest bug bare with a/f is the amout of time they take on the phone average of 45 mins and on a mobile it costs a fortune, they should have a call back service i think, but im in the same boat as everyone else there prices seem to be increasing more and more will certainly be shopping around next year

I agree with landowner- Think of a figure and double it! I moved from Blackburn to Todmorden and thought my insurance would go down- every insurance site i checked it appeared that it would go down at least £100p/year. Not my insurance co. though- when i made the call to tell them i was moving to a better area AND would have the benefit of a locked garage, ADMIRAL cheerily informed me that my insurance was to go UP £60 a year. When i asked for an explanation the girl on the phone could only offer this (NO ****!);
'Perhaps because it's a better area, there will be more expensive cars around and as such any accidents would cost more to put right?'

BOLLOCKS.

The 405 diesel (non turbo) is now costing £90 a month to insure... was quoted £1500 for the disco 300.
A call to footman james got the disco insurance down to 240 p/year (3000mls)
This is with 3yrs ncb and a clean licence for 10 yrs...
****ers. All of 'em.....

I'm with AF for both my Audi estate and Defender. The Defender has limited mileage and costs...

£100 per year to insure.

Saying that, their original quote was nearer £200 and I had to get alternative quotes to get the price down. As an existing long term customer it'd've been nice if they could've given me that price in the first instance.

And it's taken me a while to fill in the modified and mileage declarations because I couldn't find the engine number (it was under half an inch of oil). And they didn't cancel or anything just gave me another week to find it.

I do agree, most insurance is an absolute frickin' con and they're just there to make 'emselves (and their shareholders) more money but to my mind AF an't been too bad.

Although £25 admin fee for any changes when it's a five minute phone call is a bit rich.

Rang for a quote today, Disco 2 V8i ES X-reg, no mods at all, limited to 7000miles/yr. Im 34 as is missus i got 5yrs NCB:

Swiftcover £600.59
1st central £337.89
Adrian Flux £559.06 (on phone) then i got confirmation email of £1102.89!!! WTF.
