Hi Landy forum folk, I hear you guys are partial to Adrian Flux....

I have a horror story - about my much loved 13 year old VW Transporter - fully comp with Adrian Flux because we trusted the fact they were specialists in old, modified and camper vans.

In summary: no fault accident, write off, stuff stolen from our van whilst under Adrian Flux' agent care, very sharp practice with valuation, days of time chasing up via 5 different organisations, 260+ e-mails, 39 different people.....

Each organisation very effectively passing the buck.

And the MD has been kept up to date.

They have been useless.

I've had 8000+ views on the VW T4 forum and thought everyone should know...

Cheers everyone,

Duncan

PS I had a Series 3 a while ago, I want another one but can't justify 3 cars :-(

This dismissive e-mail sums it up....

Dear Mr X
As I am sure you are aware, as a broker we have very little involvement in the handling of claims. However, please do not hesitate in contacting me if you feel I can assist you further.

Kind regards

Rachel

Which part of a broker having very little to do with claims are you struggling with?

Wow - only trying to let other people know what goes on. The thread goes on for 15 pages, not something I can repeat.

Thought some members might be interested.

I'll delete it if it has caused offence.

With your first post you invite us to visit another forum?

Talk about it here...we have our very own, home grown, Landy Flux threads thanks

Let's get this right ... Duncan was aware that some of the guys on here may use or get a quote form Adrian Flux.. so he gives us a link to a entirely different website that is not in any way conflicting with this one,
Not sure why the need of a reply such as yours when the guy has already discussed it ongoing on his home forum, you obviously feel he has a need to cover old ground and bring his ball with him.

Cheers Duncan for highlighting your particular events .. it may be of interest to some of the lads and lasses on here.

It's interesting to hear other's experiences. No company is perfect. The fact is when y've got mods there aren't that many companies that will insure you with no fuss.

Here is the first page of 6 https://www.landyzone.co.uk/search/924309/?q=flux&o=relevance.

It's fair to say a goodly proportion of those threads aren't singing praises, some are extremely long, detailed and unflattering in the extreme.

We have Flux as a major forum sponsor and have our own rep. They have the opportunity to answer here and in person. They know we are a discerning crowd and not afraid to share our experience.

No punches are pulled.

Someone joining with the sole purpose of slagging off a company is a different situation. They have no interest in and nothing invested in LZ.

I'm no fan of trail by forum and wherever possible encourage representatives from both sides of a story to have their say. Just recently accusations of terrible customer service and retaliatory accusations of theft were resolved amicably with a little encouragement to communicate.

To expect anyone to do that across multiple forums is unfair in the extreme.

I have my own, very well informed opinion of Flux formed from the experience of dozens of LZ members and several Flux reps.

Hi Guys,

Just to say that we are aware of this thread and are doing everything we can to try and resolve the issues brought up.

Kind Regards
Jamie

Social media has shamed many a company into action.

The days of poor service, or otherwise be it goods etc are proving that consumerism and social media are fully integrated.

Social media is also full of inaccurate information and people that.....shall we say are happy to stretch the truth to make a point.

If any LZ member has an issue with Flux or anyone else they are free to air it as has happened many times. A simple search let's people see both sides and the opinions of people they know and trust (or not) and can make up their own minds.

Somebody joining simply to direct people to a thread on another forum full of people they don't know from Adam (or Thor) is entirely different.

To be pedant .. the news we read is stretched at times as is the information coming from our own government, from local through to central .. as is the police the church and even the candlestick maker ...

Let the people read and make their own minds up ..usually works.

Good grief.

The link is still there, nothing has been removed.

I posted that I'm not entirely happy with the type of post and after you said you're not entirely sure why it was necessary to say so I explained....as a matter of courtesy.

Why try and make out something is being suppressed?

Krautwagon, Zippo, job done! :)

About 5 years ago I got a quote over the phone from A F for a 1970's Volvo estate and they came up with over 900 quid
as the cheapest price they could manage TPFT, after I had stopped laughing I got fully comp cover
from a well know everyday insurance company for 280 quid, why was A F so expensive ?????

I thought at the time I'd never bother with A F again just due to ridiculous prices
and I have never been back since
