Hi/Ya Folk's can somebody tell me what part of the bumper on a TD4 need's to be replaced to fit those Large Driving Lamps i've seen incorporated in the bumper Regards Paj.

depends what ones you've seen. some use a bracket which bolts behind the bumper and protrudes over the top. some have to mount into a pod which fits onto the bumper, some mount onto an a-bar on the front of the vehicle, and some are flushed into the bumper?

the ones that fit flush into the bumper are fitted through a cut out. if you take the bumper off, there are lines on the back showing you where to cut. the actual pods and lamps are generally available through usual sources, paddocks, duckworth, ebay etc

good luck

Do you mean lamps like the ones in the picture i have attached? if so i am in the process of fitting some myself, but due to the rain im having to wait to finish fitting them.
There is not a part of the bumper that is replaced you have to cut two holes using the templates provided into the bumper on the black parts to the sides of the grills (a hole on each side) and then their is a bracket which is attached to the bumper shown in the picture (gray castle shaped circle behind the lamp. The lamps then attach to these.
I hope this helps you.

I bought the kit of ebay on monday and payed £17.00 + £6p&p so a total of £27. Their are a few on ebay at the moment but seam to be buy it nows at around £125 so i guess i got a great deal. Their are a few other sites that sell them if you get the details of the ebay auctions and google them you will find them.
I managed to finish fitting them this afternoon :D and im very pleased with them, they have a switch fitted inside on the right just above the glovebox and work when the main beam is turned on. The switch enables them to be turned off if you dont want to use them.

I have the original, But I was asking because I thought they were the flush ones, I don't like the look of the sticky out ones...

Yep it was the Facelift Model i was looking at,just thinking of all the toy's you can fit on them,we are thinking of changing our present 4x4 for a more fuel efficient model. regards Pajero.

The flush ones aren't driving lamps but fog lamps. They are not designed to fit all models of the TD4. However you can move the componenets behind the bumber to allow them to fit. Do a search on this forum for more info.

Cheers
