As title suggest valve block front collar appears to be leaking. Only just aquired car so don't know how long it's been leaking. If the leak is the only issue should I fit a used block to existing pipes or get a replacement block with pipes intact and join it to old pipes away from the block. I'm led to believe old pipes are a bitch to get in once removed.
I'm quite tempted to go with a removal kit from island 4x4.
New to all this so would appreciate your input.

Depends on the pipe, if the pipe is leaking you need to replace the pipe, otherwise just a new seal.

I am part way through an ACE rebuild, but cannot find anywhere to machine and tap my spare block for 1/4" BSP

getting old pipes out is often a problem, you will need new pipes most likely and depends how seal pack comes out often block corrodes around seal pack and pipe making fitting new seal pack difficult or impossible

Thanks for replies .. Going to think
On options for a week or so. First choice I think is try and keep it . But not wanting to throw to much at it. Just changed shuttle valve and new steering shaft repair kit today.

6 hydraulic hoses with fittings, 2 litres of CCF, a few fitings on the block is cheaper than replacement anti roll bars

LR parts are very expensive compared to industry standard hydraulics
