accelerator pedal and potentiometer

Hi
Accelerator operation keeps shutting down to limp mode. I have tried a used pedal assembly to no avail. ECU checks out okay, it was oily, I have cleaned it out.
Anyone know where I could get a new pedal assembly ? or any other ideas

ive ordered another from E bay, hopefully it will work.
Failing that a new one but apparently they are not made for my vin no.
im having difficulty getting anyone to confirm it would be compatible for my car .

If the ECU was oily cleaning it out it's not a cure, if the symptom is the same with other pedal too even if it's used you should replace the injector loom first before you spend more money on a pedal assy but keeping a faulty injector loom which can give missfire on it's own

IMO it's a bit early to blame the pedal without more tests, usually the throttle pot failure comes together with the MIL warning too and it will keep the engine at idle... is your's an auto? ...cos in this case that limp mode comes with flashing M + S warnings as well

anyway if you insist to put a pedal without more diagnose i can tell you that it's not VIN dependent, it's only about superseeded part numbers
