Defender TD5 accelerator unresponsive.

Hi, I have a defender TD5 with an accelerator issue, the engine light comes on then the pedal doesn't do anything, does anyone have any ideas, I'm new to Land rovers so all help will be good, thanks.

There are dedicated forums which dedicated experts watch hawkishly waiting for someone like you, with a problem like yours, to appear.
I don't have a TD5 but I think it may be best to investigate what the engine light is all about first, perhaps it's a fault that stop the engine from accelerating so it doesn't damage itself ?
