Ac fans wired up to constant???????

Got air con which don't work and ain't connected on fan, now truck gets warm towing I was wondering with that lump In way would it be too hard to wire the two fans up to a switched feed??? To send that air through like a gooden?? Might be cheaper than replacing pipes and regassed don't really need it even in this weather, and don't fancy playing with takin the rad out unless i'm fittin a front mount

Fixing the A/C wont make the engine run any cooler infact it may run hotter because of the hot air coming from the A/C rad when the A/C is on. I would first checkthat the A/C rad isnt blocked stopping the air getting to the coolant rad if it is no amount of fans is going to keep the engine cool. You might also want to check that the coolant rad isnt blocked internally, with the engine running is the whole rad hot? if there are any cool/cold sections then it is blocking up this tends to start at the bottom.

No not fixing the air con just wiring up the rad cooling fans to a live feed to blow air through, the system was flushed b4 I got it

Why was it flushed did it have a over heating problem before you got it? in my experience flushing a rad has little or no affect, has it got any cold/cool spots when engine is hot and running? Extra fans wont help cooling if the A/C rad is blocked with debry and or the fins are corroded blocking the air flow.

Had replacement head, garage cleared the system out before I had it he'd had it 2 yrs for his caravan, it's not a problem towing, just needs a little extra help for a full load on a 3.5t trailer

I think possibly rad is blocked probably not enough to cause trouble for normal day to day driving but when asking it to work hard the rads not got the cooling capacity which could also restric the water flow around the engine, could also be the thermostat not fully opening. Might sound like a silly question but has it got anti freeze in the system? this will increase the cooling abilaty substantialy.

well the bad news is the rads fine.......................................
nxt job is to get a new t'stat just to be safe, a new temp sensor as it get very vague/excitable after a certain temp, and tomorrow once ive worked out the homemade lightbar i will remove the placcy grille and blast the rads out/ remove any unwanted obstructions
