Tried to replace front left ABS sensor over the weekend:confused: Rave says "Using a suitable lever, prise sensor from bush" BALLOX
Tried to take stake nut off, to get hub off to get better access, nearly rounded it so have ordered a replacement for when i need to chisel it out... Broke top off sensor when prying with a 'suitable lever' ie. hammer, crowbar, screwdriver, cursing, bigger hammer!!! tried drilling it out, made ****e of steel bit:eek: what are these things made of...
should be a lot easier when i get the hub off but it's literally welded in place, i suppose 10 years on a rangie i'm lucky it lasted till now;)

Had the same problem when i tried to look at mine because if an abs fault error 3 came out with no problem but after hours of cursng i gave up on the last one, as you say its like its welded in. Spoke to my local indy garage and he said its qute a common problem they have to drill quite a few out. So its in at the moment being done, thought i would let them skin there knuckles rather than mine ill let you know how it went when i i pick it up

Well, managed to get the hub nut off and beat the sensor out. Replaced the half shaft oil seal and cleaned up the hub. I know it's not much for most of you out there but this is the first vehicle i've owned that i've done all my own work so chuffed at the result. Reset bloody ABS and Traction lights, started her up and no bleep bleep :D
