I'm new on here and am having a small problem with my 1994 300tdi ES.
The ABS light has been on for a while, but yesterday, what I think is the abs pump (behind air filter on right of engine bay with lots of brake lines in) is pumping away even with the car switched off. I've disconnected the power to it.
Question is can the car be driven like this? How can I fix it? I assume the pump kicks in when it gets a signal it's needed from the abs ecu. If it's on all the time either the signal is wrong (ecu problem) or the sensor that's giving the fault is continually sending the message.????
