On the way into work, pressed the brake pedal and the ABS light lit up and stayed lit, also have no brakelights lighting up on the back as well.

Never had any ABS faults before and the lights were all checked the previous evening after washing it off.

Has anyone had this happen to them, could the two faults be connected and how do I fix it??? (elektrikery aint my strong point)

Ideas would be appreciated please peeps.:)

without looking at rave the first thing would be brake light switch and then retrieve codes as some modern braking systems are not simple on off switches

Presuming that yours is a V8 Disco2 i'd say first of all check fuse F25 from passenger comp. fusebox...this one is feeding the lamps, and the abs ECU and has connection with the brake switch.....if the fuse is ok then check the brake switch itself/its contacts.........if no joy plug in a scanner

Mines a D1 but I'll still have a look as you suggested, thanks.

Strange, I got exactly the same problem. (Disco 1, 300 Tdi).

Checked fuses, all seem okay.....:(

Haven't checked the switch though, but may order one anyway. where did you get yours from?
