So another small update today. Nothing much as I only got a couple of hours on it.

So started cleaning a few bits up

And got them in to etch primer.

[/IMG]

You may be wondering why the etch primer only on a few bits, Well the plan is to spray them. And the paint isn't a direct to metal type.
They will be going this colour. As I have loads left from when I painted it.
If the weather plays ball I'll get the compressor out and do it tomorrow :)

This is looking amazing mate...cant wait to see it all going back together. :)

Did you decide to go with the TD5 set up on the chassis?

Nope, Ended up just going standard set up, Will I regret it? Maybe.
But it was a standard chassis and pick it up on Saturday.
Or 6-8 weeks waiting for one to be built to my spec.

What's that colour called? Looks great!

Cheers :) It's ford rs blue.

How will the paint hold up with the heat from the brakes??? looks good thou

Pretty well I should hope. It's painted then lacquered.
From what I have read people paint engine parts with standard paint/lacquer so I would hope the calipers will be fine.
But only time will tell.

Managed to get an hour after work today.
Got the callipers fitted.
Drive flanges on.
swivels filled
New track rod ends and a couple of other little jobs.

No pics as the camera battery died. But will get some tomorrow :)

Well a picture of fitting the callipers last night.

So I lost all this morning due to picking the new chassis up :)
So while we had the tipper we decided to take the old one to the scrap yard. Removed the chassis number first though.
I know Ginge asked me to let him no how much I get in scrap for the old chassis.
And well it was a whopping £14.

So with that out of the way I emptied the garage to paint a few bits.

Shock mounts.
