any ideas of to take it off for normal running ................

reverse for a bit then pull forwards....if if dont unlock repeat process

have yu tried running the car backwards fur 100yds or so? that usually clears any wind-up and frees the system.

well tried that no luck !!!!!!!!!!!!
when we were green laneing on sunday it wouldnt engage so i ran it with out difflock but now its on !!!!!!!!!!

im 99% sure its on when turiong left or right hard it struggles and when driving on carrageway handles like **** !!!!!!!!!!

you might need to reverse for a bit longer, stig usually has this problem, i think his record is 4 miles

horray......... finally got the basted out .........
it must be the rod which is seized , if i remember they be steel and alli pipes ............ after all this ,,,,, think i have fcuked something else up nasty rumbeling ....... like the clutch is on the way to heaven .......bollocks .......... more fcuking money........ ohhh the joys .......of abusing a disco ....

I used to get this all the time, all i used to do is look for a big **** off pot hole or raised manhole and hit at at great speed, there is a gigh risk of crashing but it usually releases the diff lock.

check the last statement in your paragraph, might give yer a hint as to why its costing money.
