OK, no point in asking if it's a good idea. I'm considering selling the Disco and buying a Gaylander Td4, mainly for economy reasons as it's costing me a fortune in fuel to do the miles I do in the old 300Tdi (10k already since last June). If I ask here I'll be told no, if I ask on the Freelander forum I'll get a yes.
My question is what's the 300Tdi likely to be worth?
Prices seem to vary wildly. It's a 1997 (R) 3 door manual without built-in shower units (sunroofs), 6 seater (yes 6), 103k, one previous owner, full history (not LR) until last service which I did myself with Brittpart filters etc. A-bar, side steps, wheel arch trims, LG MP3 player ( I have original radio/cass too), full genuine rubber mats, Freestyle alloys with good tyres.
It's in very good condition with just the odd bubble on the tailgate and has recently had new headlamps, front pads, handbrake shoes, propshaft donut, gearstick positioning plate & springs.
