'94 RRC - Traction Control and ABS lights always on

This started a couple of month ago as an occasional thing and they would both go off if I pulled over and restarted the engine. More recently they are remaining permanently on. I cannot see anything in the manual that says this combo of warning lights means anything specific and it just says that I should just go to the dealer (yeah, sure!). There doesn't seem to be any reduction in ABS performance and it worked a treat the other day when some tw@t in front of me on the A40 dropped his anchors at 45 mph for no reason.

Sensor issue perhaps? Any ideas would be appreciated.
