I'm hoping someone might know what's going on with my 90.
It's a 2005 TD5, 55k on the clock and running on standard DERV.
When I start up from cold, it always seems a bit weak at first and won't rev properly for 10-15 secs. After that, it seems to snap out of it and revs normally.
Today when I started it from cold, there was a slight tailwind. When I pressed the accelerator a few times to get it going, I noticed some puffs of smoke blowing past the passenger side window. This may well not be anything new - I just noticed it because of the tail-wind.
I know Landies can be a bit smokey, but is there a possible problem brewing here in view of the weak revving on start-up? The oil level has not changed since it was changed at 51k and it starts on the button.
Is this normal?
