87 110 county dipped beam PS blows fuse - help!

hi
trying to fix electrics - hate electrics.
ps main beam keeps blowing fuse, other lights work. changed bulbs and improved earth connections.
where does the wiring separate out to both sides - before the fuses - can't see it and think it must be after the power splits because DS light works ok.
main/high beams work
just PS dip blows fuse.
are the relays individual - sided? or just relay for dip and relay for main/high beam?
going back out with multimeter again.

afaik, the lights are split left and right.....i.e. they have their own feed for the pax side and driver side....they aren't linked.

argh!! I've taken the whole of my dashboard apart now in an attempt to follow the wires from the fuse to the switches - how many wires does a simple land rover need for god's sake??!

can someone tell me what the two relays are for behind the speedo? one clicks(left hand side one) when the light switch is turned to headlights and there's power to the fuses. what is the one on the right for?
i can't work out why one side works!
now the indicators and fan have stopped as well, bugger.

One of them...the pink one I remember is the voltage sensing relay for the head lamp dim/dip system...the other one I can't remember......will have to check.
