Hi all,
New to this forum (& Landrovers & anything mechanical beyond and winscreen wiper change) so I bought an 1985 Defender 110 with a knackered chassis as a project ! - A little off my head but theres lots of willing help out there i'm sure..
Progress: New rolling chassis collected and swap started with the front end stripped off and engine removed - Not bad for a complete novice with some help from willing friends.
My first question (of many to come I'm sure) is:
Q: Anyone know what bolts and fittings to have to hand for the body move? Many bolts and screws have just had it of course and I remember something somewhere about "... have 100 M? bolts and x to hand..."
Any rough guidance that will reduce the multiple trips to screw fix I know I am going to have to make will be very greatfully recieved.
If anyone has any other "while its off do this..." type comments - great. Keep them comming. My knowledge level is so low I reassembled the exhaust not knowing it had to be sealed with some paste. Dont make any assumptions and thanks for your patience.
