6ft 2" how do you get in?

There has to be a technique to this. My 110 on 750x16s is bit too high to just launch onto the driver's seat from the ground, but if I put my right foot on the flip down step my head is well above the roofline.

So I have been stepping up then hunching while grabbing the steering wheel and lunging in, but is there a better technique?

Despite my height I used to have an MG Midget that easy to get in and out with the roof down, but with the roof on it was pretty much "roll out onto the pavement".

i am the same height as you, with the exact same size tyres. i stand almost with my back to the seat, hook a cheek on the bolster and then do a 'gay hop/slide' whilst holding the steering wheel with one hand.

getting out is the reverse but a 'gay slide' rather than a hop/slide

The freelander lads are going to have a field day reading this.

I'll give this a try, meamtime if anyone has a hetero solution please share!

ill change mine and agree with flat its more off a gay slide in and a hop out

I'm also 6ft 2 and I'm pleased to report that I am able to both enter and exit my 110 without any gayness. My arse is at the perfect height. I guess it depends how long/short your legs are. My mate is the same height but he has little legs and has to drag himself up into the cab. It always cracks me up when he's trying to heave himself up. lol.

I'm 5'7 with bigger tyres and 2" lift I have to climb or jump

I'm 6'4" and I've never thought about it before but yes, it is a bit awkward. I think I put my right foot on the step, then sort of swivel round into the seat whilst holding onto the steering wheel.

I'm 6' 2" and have never considered how I get in or out of mine.

No they won't, as they will all be too busy doing their nails

bloody dwarfs... buy a gaylander to mince about in if you cant get in without looking like you eat a diet of quorn and peace chips.

6'4" - 110 on 33" tyres with 2" lift and smart car seats on risers - no mincy hopping required.

I find that by opening the door I can get in much easier.

I'm 6'2 and drive a gaylander when it aint broke, the gay hop worked on my 109 and lifted disco. Now I just hop and skip in and out of the gaylander... and every where else for that matter.

Have I caught the gay?

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but I believe you have contracted a severe case of Louie spence syndrome.

Right hand on the angled bit of the door frame, right foot in the car, using it to step up, left foot straight in. It's easy, isn't it? Average height (5'9") and standard car on standard tyres.

I'm 6'2 and have no issues.

Grab the screen pillar with right hand, right foot in footwell pull up and swing arse into seat, reverse to get out, 5ft 10 with lifted suspension and bucket seats.
