I just spent a couple of hours researching what new battery to get for my Disco. Mine's been struggling with the cold weather and I've had enough of jump starting it!

I wanted something that would cope as I add bits to my standard Disco, so would one day work in a dual battery setup and power all the lamps, winches, fridges, kettles, ovens, cranes and anything else I decide to hang off it.

But in the meantime I don't really want to be spending too much money.

After quite a bit of searching on here and other forums I started to like the look of the Numax CXV batteries. After a bit of hunting I found the UK distributor and got an absolute bargain, well chuffed. Should be delivered tomorrow.

Just fitted one of these, and it started in sub zero after a week of not moving. Well impressed !!

Cheers

am i missing out on something here ?

on the basis that i generally only have a battery out of it's containing box/holder/straps to replace it (say once every 6 years) - what's the point of it having "comfortable reinforced carrying handles"

Cos you can load em into yer landy 2 at a time when you weigh the buggers in.:rolleyes::rolleyes::D
