anyone got any ideas why i keep getting a "404 error forbidden on this server" ?
message on LZ only.
if i shut down me browser and start agin its ok fer a few mins then another 404 error comes up

i get it sometimes, but i fink its interference on the wireless - seems to be when the copper who lives next door brings his jam sandwich home.

I think it's a disgrace that poor ol' misunderstood slob can't get an answer to his posted question when he bales everyone out in one blast.404 ERROR is written in the kind of language akin to that of this forum. Basically it's a file not found error and as everyone else seems to fly o.k and slob seems computer literate big-time, my favourite would be a browser issue. Explorer isn't ideal. Firefox beta 2 tightens things up pretty well. At the risk of inviting a barrage of protest, my policy is to wipe the ol' computer off totally and re partition/format, reload the operating system and software regularly. In my case, almost daily thanks to the work my poor ol' machine has to do. regards P.S:confused:

have you bin trawling the forum trying to find something you know more about than i do? cos if you are yer wasting yer time. all you had to do was ask and i could have told you. but there is one thing am pretty sure about, and that is, ' if a thread hasn't had a new post on it fer a couple of months then the chances are its dead, sorted,no longer relevent'

SP is right, page or file not found. I used to have a member of staff nick named 404, he was never where he should have been to do his job!

this place is geting weirder than the fooking twiglet zone. i ask why am getting something on me pooter fooking months ago. then some **** comes up and says, what it is, in a vane attempt to appear clevva and now we have 'the trout' trying to pretend she's has an inkling of wtf she is on about. the fookin thing is sorted. we know what a fooking 404 error is. its the same fooking thing i got when the site was hacked into.
oh pardon me oh great geeky turnip for checking if any one else was having the same problem.
now can a moderator close this thread down please

Fancy thinking that, as the question hadn't been answered, it was being helpful to try and answer it....... What a goon!
I thought joining in the banter and being as helpful as possible was what this forum was about....... What a twit!
Yeh, I did try and help because I though my experience in other fields than landrovers would've been helpful....... What an idiot!
Slob's particularly prevelent with help on this forum and I thought I could repay him, somehow....... There's no expletive appropriate for that lunacy.

If a question's unanswered for more than a few weeks perhaps a moderator should close the thread to stop some poor inbecile trying to answer it.

I get it, now. Sit in awe at the wisdom and knowledge of gurus and keep out unless invited.

Banter's one thing, but.............................
