Have bled it got red hot heater, even after a couple of hours to cool down have a lot of pressure still, when undo cap, been keeping my eye on it last few days have had a suspicion something not right to much pressure

Ger her hot. Release pressure. Put cap back and see if she pressurises again.

You can get UV dye to put in the coolant. Then after a day or so check the dip-stick for any glow with a UV torch.

Try a combustion gas test kit on the coolant, don't jump to slipped liners to quick we have had lots of peeps with air locks on here.

sounds more gasket then, are any of your plugs looking steam cleaned.
Not had plugs out yet,it got hot when wife driving it about a week ago AA said airlock she drove it 50 mile or so back home with some water lose but not loads AA said in report they did sniff test and ok, ive done about 100 mile or so since short jouneys and having to keep topping up, when checking after stopped for 2 or 3 hours still a lot of pressure undoing cap, done about 20 mile today and it had enough and spat all its antifreeze out almost without warning

the AA did a check on gasses in the coolant and it came up good ?

the heater will get hot, where the PITA is the top hose from the block to the rad. it its at the highest point, higher than the expansion bottle outflow. otherer things to check.... the Viscous fan and of course the water pump and the T-stat. the T-stat can cause issue as well apparently

yes according to AA report I got in email they did a sniff test when it overheated on my wife about a week ago and they bled system and she continued home, checked level in morning it took about half a litre of water, one thing I haven't mentioned is its LPG as well so lots of other plumbing ! will have a good check tomoz hopefully, supposed to be doing brakes and exhaust on other Rangie tomoz, will hopefully get them both looked at

sniff tests arent conclusive ive done loads were the result was no gas but h/g was passing

mine is LG too. it shouldn't make a difference on LPG as the tap and return to the vaporiser is off the heater matrix return. have you read RAVE on bleeding the coolant system ? also check the viscous fan with the newspaper test. do you know when the water pump was last changed ? there's often a freak out to slipped liners, when its something simple like a water pump gone. how soon after the new coolant did it spew the coolant ? also what colour coolant ? colour mixing can cause the chemicals to gel.
