im going to de cat it which im sure will help
thanks for all your replys guys its much appreciated as im totally stumped

Have YOU checked the gearbox oil level.

Start with a cold engine, start the engine, then cycle through all gearbox positions and put back into P - then go to the engine bay and with the engine still running check the level on the autobox dipstick.

My 300Tdi auto has only had the EGR removed and i think it is quite fast.
Even at lights and in "D" i have surprised a few people in cars at how fast i can take off.
Is thre no-one near you with a similar car then you both can do a comparison.

that would be nice if there was lol, as stated at the top of the post the fuel lift pump was replaced for new the injectors have been replaced since posting lol ,the autobox fluid has also been drained out and replaced again so ive done about 13 ltrs by now in 3 changes so more good in there than bad now and the level is bang on,but im still no better off, im running out of things to change now lol
everytime i change something i feel as though i get 1 more horsepower out of it lol, but im not touching the actual problem so im just making other things better, i think im going to go for airflow and turbo boost pressure sensor next

ok gearbox level is bang on the money, have since decatted it which has made no difference and replaced the air flow meter for a known good one which also made no difference, ive replaced the entire fuel line now aswell to rule out air which there isnt any so im running out of things to change now lol

the thing that bothers me is the smoke, there is none, none when started none when booted or revved up to the limiter which is about 4500, i find that odd for a diesel especially a landrover diesel lol
i would have expected some at somepoint

Maybe the time has come to do what should have been done in the first place - get it on Testbook and do some live data readings.
