300tdi Serpentine Belt Tensioner Fell Off!!

Any one got any idea how my Belt tensioner fell off?

The thread has come out with the bolt from the housing that is part of the back of the waterpump etc.

there are also 2 loose bolts on the viscous fan pulleys and that is wobbling about, not sure if this is a cause or symptom...

Recently had the P gasket changed >150 miles ago

Sounds like someone's not tightened something up, it's caused a wobble in the belt that's undone a lot more bolts etc. I'd have a real good check of all the bolts that hold anything on that the serpentine belt touches and maybe even take them all out, one by one, and Loctite them back in, to correct torques ...

My idler stud has just come off and riped out the threads aswell, how did you go about rethreaded it or did you have to replace it?

rethread it recoil or such will do ,they are actually stronger than original thread,as they transfer force sideways instead of just up on thread .
