hi,
got a 96 jap import 300tdi on sunday,
me and a mate went out monday, did over 60 miles, some rough lanes etc,
on the straight road on the way back it lost all power,
then it came back, then went so i pulled over and it was ticking over merrily,
went to pull away and no power,
looked under the bonnet and removed the vp37 tuning module that was there, no difference,
pulled to connector to the maf, still no difference,
mate said that it was chucking out loads of white smoke which smelled of fuel,
today i checked fuel filter, it had loads of water in it,
so i'm hoping that is it, does this sound plausible??????
also, can i remove the maf unit totally ????
