Hi all, my 300TDi disco has a fuel leak.
I have noticed before, some drips under the tank. However, on the weekend it took it to a whole new level
Filled her to 3/4 full of WVO, then drove to the local garage to top off with Derv.
Filled it until it clicked, job done. Cap on, went in to pay for diesel.
Came back, there was diesel ****ing out all over the floor. So, i reported it and drove off, not much more i could do.
I guess, its either leaking from the tank send/recieve pipes, and having the tank full pushed the derv up to the hole or;
Leaking from the filler neck.
Im more inclined to think the tank send/recieve pipes as it does it even if the tank is low, just on a much smaller scale.
Question is. Can i access this (access panel for tank sender) from the boot, or is it a tank off jobbie? My boot floor has been worked on in the past by the previous owner, but he has riveted a wooden floor over the top of it, which I can remove, but its a neat job so dont want to cut it out if its not going to reveal anything.
