I brought a discovery 300tdi a couple weeks ago, been running fine then the last week it been lacking power up hills if it's hot and, you it show it any type of hill it doesn't hold boost at all, boosts up then drops off again. Since then I have cleaned the intercooler, changed all the pipes still doing the same, but also have noticed I have a small leak around injector one on the engine, don't know if they are related in this problem at all.
Cheers in advance jp

Have you fitted a boost gauge to actually measure the boost pressure? Or are you just guessing?

Leaking injectors are never good, remove all the injectors and fit new copper sealing washers. ;)

Is it an easy job to sort the injectors then? I'm guessing to a degree but you can feel it lurch forward then hold back then go again, but only doing it when hot, it's as though there's a limiter on the turbo

Check your intercooler for leaks, fill it with water and see if any leaks out.

Injectors are easy, undo the union on top then two nuts hold them on. The copper washer sits around the base and can cause them to leak sometimes. :)

Ok I'll give that a go and see if that solves the fuel leak, regretting the inter cooler I had it out the other day and cleaned it, out I didn't seem to leak when filled,it with water and thinners :/

If the fuel leak isn't from the injector seal itself, it could be the supply union on top (try tightening it) or the rubber leak off pipes could have perished or split.

Changed the over spill pipes already as one broke on Friday so changed them so I'll give the injector seals ago and see what happens cheers
