Hi there,
got to remove the crankshaft pulley, as part of todays timing belt change,
i dont have the described tool that'll retain it in place, whilst i unbolt,
it has been suggested from past experience with other vehicles that i lay a aocket bar across the chassis rail from the puley nut and crank the engine once to crack it, anyone done this before?

Or get sombody to hold a big scroddy through wadeing plug hole in the bell houseing in notch in flywheel (you have to find it first) and use a big breaker bar on crank pulley nut!

You can get those kits in the red box for about £15 ish. Puller locking pins etc.

I've done the 300 both with and without the kit, and you spend so long trying to get together a puller, that id advise just shelling out the 15 quid and getting the whole set.

I did mine with locktite a scaffold bar, and a friend on the brakes.

I'm sure that's not the best way though!
