Well it seems my oil leak is leaking into the exhaust from the turbo.
I used the turbo that came with my replacement engine that I rebuilt (engine, not the turbo), as I didn't want to use my old one, after I hydrauliced the engine in deep water, and it felt notchy when I removed it. I made sure I primed the steel hose with oil when I refitted it.
There is an oil leak from the exhaust pipe flexi, which would seem to be turbo seal failure. Can anyone recommend a decent firm to overhaul my old unit at a reasonable price, or know of anywhere that does exchange.
