Hi all

Thanks for looking

I am rebuilding a 300tdi rear axel to fit to my 90. I have looked and seen it is easy ish to do but I have come across a problem. The shock mounts have cups that hold the rubber mounts in place do I need to keep them or can I cut them off. I have looked on my current drum axel and there aren't any cups on it as I plan to use the current shocks. Or do I need to get disco shock instead. Thanks for looking Simon

Standard practise is to remove those cups.
They serve little to no purpose other than to prematurely wreck the bushes, in my opinion.
