Hi All
Can anyone confirm whether a 300 TDI lift pump incorporates a NRV?
I have an issue with starting if the car has stood for a few days or more, but only when the fuel tank is less than 1/4 full.
I'm wondering if the fuel is running back to the tank due to a faulty non return valve (somewhere in the system), which becomes progressively more of an issue when the tank is less full ?

yes they all do two in fact ,they are little poppet valves that can stick partially open if they get dirty or the little springs distort, series lift pumps had valves you could replace
