300 tdi auto box problem

when you put it into drive nothing happens but if you go to 1 it puulls fine and then through the box all good ????

suggestions please

freewheel clutch ,youd need to partially strip box to change it

Even if you can pull off in 1st then pt it back into drive ??

Sure your selector cable isn't off slightly?
