3 amigos

Hello all. My machnic put on a new hub assembly. But his computer wouldn't put off the 3 amigos lights. Anyone up in the North of scotland. Aberdeenshire able to help me.

I replaced my TD5 (2001) Disco hub assembly a year ago. The most likely cause is that "your mechanic" hasn't reseated the sender in the back of the hub. I had the dreaded 3 Amigos and had to remove the stupid little rubber washer that seats around the sender. Use a narrow bead of good quality silicone to seal the sender. The amigos (as in my case) should reset themselves.
I am near Mintlaw, Peterhead Aberdeenshire, If you want any more advice.
However, look on threads on Landy Zone for some great advice.

What is his computer? D2 ain't OBD II compliant, so you need a diagnostic suitable for landy's - on the "budget" side, there's nanocom evo, Hawkeye and Lynx, then there's LR's Testbook

Maybe there's some other fault not the hub/sensor position...cos even if the sensor(as long as it's good ) is completely out of the hub it must pass the initial self test which is only for voltage return while stationary then the 3 amigos must go out only the ABS remains alone and if after 10mph was exceeded the moving test fails the other 2 amigos will show up again or if everything is ok the ABS goes out too...that's how it works when it comes about sensor faults...as long as the 3 amigos are all on from the beginning and you can't erase them then or the sensor/wiring is open/closed circuit or some completely different fault...as said dedicated tester is needed
