I'm a diesel man so I make no great claim to be knowledgeable with V8's and their tuning but it seems to me that for £200 you could do better.

After all, you are only buying the chip, un-fitted at that price.

I find some of the claims confusing & contradictory, others just rubbish "increases engine braking" for example.

The power and torque claims seem very modest to me as well. How do you know that you are going to achieve these improvements as he provides no evidence to back up his claims.

If you have £200 to spare spend it on your Disco in other ways. You can get a new set of tubular headers for that money. A full fluids service; a news set of discs and pads etc etc;

Just my 2 penn'th

Tuning chips don't work.*

Think of the fire triangle - you need fuel, oxygen and ignition. To increase the size of a fire you need to alter the components in proportion. If you don't you don't get a bigger fire. A tuning chip on a naturally aspirated engine cannot increase the amount of air entering an engine (*a turbocharged car is a different story)
The only way you'd get even the slightest power gain is with more aggressive timing maps. Which the 14 CUX doesn't have as it's only a fuel controller not an ignition controller.

You would get more benefit adjusting your static timing.
