they seem pretty tough to me , I think lpg is problem!!

set up wise you just need to know what ur doing then they are fine. I use stu cos I dont know what I am doing for some of it it :p

Mine had had years of abuse before I got it, oil like tar and its soldiering down the greenlanes in the heat of summer or the mud and manages motorway trips to kent regualry and daily driver and hauler and its still going.

I thought you had one MHM???

Cant say lpg is a problem on em, My 1997 3.9 disco was converted to single point lpg in 2000 at 20 odd thou miles it had 106,000 when i sold it, fsh and well looked after and in my opinion it was mint and definatley a pleasure to drive drove the same on lpg as petrol, I regret selling it tbh :(

The reality is that these engines are 15 to 20 years old. There is nothing wrong with them except that they are getting on a bit so we shouldn't expect them to run like a brand new, modern designed bit of kit.

Mine has an LPG kit, works fine, will blow up one day and when it does, I'll put another one in.

soft dash arnt really my thing , just wait and get a nice hard dash, or do what we do and buy a tip and try and make it nice

lets be honest here if you have not driven a v8 then you have missed the boat in the area of engines one of the best and most used multi fit engines ever designed!
as with the horror storys plenty of bad cars and plenty of good ones too!
trying to find a good classic these days sorry the boat has left 3-4 owners bodged and rotten is the sad story and as the prices are slowly going up again will start to get good value for the motors
