Evening!
As title describes i have a 3.5 efi v8,
noticed today that oil is coming out of the exhaust!
does anyone on here know what is likely to be the cause of this or any ways of diagnosing this problem?
cheers andy

is it oil or wet soot ,if its oil check all plugs for oil

about a month ago i removed a spark plug to find it was wet and black, checked the oil level today which is now in the low mark half, also a month ago i change air pipe the 90 bend one to plenum and found a little bit of oil in there.

Also is this normal with the black gunk?

gunge is quite common but a sign of poor servicing and not enough detergent in oil plus age ,should be some pressure ,it would be worth removing rockers and seeing if all valves fully open

That black gunk is indicative of the fact that your engine has had a hard life with extended periods between oil changes.
Run the engine with the filler cap removed to gauge the level of blow-by gases escaping into the crankcase.
Excessive blow-by would indicate that cylinder bores have worn beyond tolerance or in a worst case scenario, scraper or compression rings might have failed, allowing excess lubricant to get into the combustion chambers, effectively quenching the spark plug(s) and allowing unburned lubricant to be pumped out the exhaust.
Let us know how it goes

Cheers for the advice :) I've replaced the breather on the rocker cover, the old one had oil in it and the inside part wasn't as full as the new one, the pressure from the filler cap isn't great at all, removed a spark plug after it cooled down after a 20-30mile drive and were dry but black
