I was just watching a video on Youtube of a guy changing the oil and filter in his early 3.5 V8 Range Rover. The filter on his engine was lower down and screws upwards, you know, like on most normal well thought out engines...
Has anyone looked at fitting the Range Rover filter housing? I'm assuming it's a remote housing.
Had to laugh when he dumped a couple of litres of oil onto the drive as he hadn't allowed for how quickly the oil would pour out from the sump.
I've just found this 3.5 for sale on Ebay and it's clearly not a remote filter housing. The filter screws onto the casing at the bottom. As it's dark, raining and im sat in a warm house and can't be bothered to venture outside, i'll let you experts explain what's different between 'our' V8 and it seems, everybody else's...
Can we retro fit the other part?
