Hello Guys

I am still not helped with these conversion please, i have a 3.9 engine, loom, ecu, relays and air flow sensor all removed from 96 Disco1. Help me do the water plumbing, air, vaccum pipes, wiring with the donor and existing vehicle wiring and the right location to put ecu.

Lloyd

engine loom is separate from efi loom which only needs a battery live and ignition live , and a feed taken from the same connector to high pressure fuel pump which on the disco is located in the fuel tank ,it wont fit a defender so youll need rrc efi pump to fit steel tank

you will need signal generator that fits in speedo cable to supply pulse to ecu ,these were used on RRC . You also need V8 defender radiator , then you can use standard hoses. you can put ecu in cubby box as harness is long enough if you run thru bulkhead and along gearbox tunnel . The air cleaner can be put over top of bellhousing and route the air intake , and airflow meter round from side intake of plenum to air cleaner . You should be able to link up to heater using a mix of discovery and defender heater hoses IIRC

The signal gen dont you have right one used for these conversion, its part number and where axactly is it placed. Batt feed feed to the loom what colour is its wire and the fuel pump feed.Do you have any idea how these water pipe goes when linked with matrix heater, the one under plenium?

Cant help with part number of sig gen unit , its a RRC part used in later efi range rovers. It is a little box with a speedo cable thread top and bottom ,
there is a short speedo cable ,to speedo and a longer one from bottom of unit goes to speedo drive on transfer box.
The two pipes from under plenum IIRC 5/8ths diameter just connect to the two pipes from heater matrix. There should be two fuel pipes same as on 3.5 efi. There should be two rad hoses, and a smaller pipe from front top of plenum that goes to a small spigot on top right of radiator . HTSH
