25v - diesel engine, what kind of engine

hi there

i have a 2.5l diesel engine in an old london taxi which was converted from petrol to diesel. as i have no clue what kind of engine it is unfortunately i cannot change the cyl head gasket which needs attention immediately.

out of the shape of the rocket cover gasket it is not a 2.5l landrover engine.

no not lr engine more like perkins

It's the old Leyland 2.5 engine. Any good motor parts factor should be able to get you a head gasket for it. If you don't have any luck come back on here and when I've more time I will get some phone numbers for you.
