so yu are asking if a 9.25" tyre will fit on an 8" rim, instead of a 7" rim?
now I might be Daft, but I would have thought it would be a better fit

Strange but 300 series D1s alloys are 7J as standard and have 235,70,16 tyres fitted. Using 8J will be ok but the tyre side wall will bow a bit more, maybe/maybe-not a good thing.

on a google search they recomend 7j for 235 70r16s i cant get a straight answer from anywhere to say they will fit 8j rim

Why won't they fit, whats stopping them fitting?? all that happens is bowing of the side walls slightly.

im not saying they wont but i jst want to make sure they will and look right .. they dnt sell a 7j modular for disco 2 only 8j ive already got the tyres on wheels but im buying modulars for them to go on
