Hi, my mum has recently got a 2014 freelander 2. She has come in from going out and said to me that the lights only work when off and full beam won’t work.

I was confused so looked myself and from what I could tell she was right.

When turning on the lights to auto on the stalk they go off. When putting them in off they come on. When manually turning on full beam it makes a big clunky noise but the blue light come on the dash and when trying to put onto constant full beam they don’t work either. Can someone help with a diagnosis if possible please?

Are the lights that are coming on in the off position the DLRs? Check the back lights when the light switch is in the on position. If the back lights are coming on, then it's probably the headlamp bulbs are blown. They have a very short life, and have a habit of failing in pairs.
