2012 freelander 2 clutch worn @40000 miles

Hi bought freelander in oct 2016 35,000 m just done 4,000 m the clutch has gone.took to Carrs land rover,they said under the 2 yrs landrover warranty there will be no cost if manufactures parts have failed.they informed me the clutch has had heavy work,i have not towed nor have i slipped the clutch.Carrs have informed me that the flywheel is burnt and will also need replacing.£1899.00 the bill.Is this too much to pay?

Ouch,sadly not unheard of in fl2, far too much to pay, you might need to speak very nicely to land cover customer services !
